Southern Turkey
The Perfect Investment
Location
Tourism
Southern Turkey, especially the Aegean coast, is a popular tourist destination. The region attracts millions of visitors annually, leading to a strong demand for accommodation. Investing in an apartment can provide rental income from tourists, especially during peak seasons.
Affordability
Compared to other Mediterranean countries like Spain or Italy, property prices in southern Turkey are relatively more affordable.
You Choose
Of course, this is your apartment, so you choose. You decide how many weeks per year you wish to let it, if any at all. You have total control. Six months holiday let, generating a healthy income, will leave six months for you, your family and friends to enjoy all that sunny Akbuk and the Didim area has to offer – total flexibility – business and pleasure all rolled into one.
Rental Permits – Relax – Leave All the Red Tape to Us
In Akbuk, renting out an apartment as a holiday home necessitates obtaining specific permits and adhering to local regulations. Property owners or managers seeking to offer accommodation to tourists need to acquire a “Short-Term Residence Permit” from the Turkish Ministry of Interior.
Additionally, registering the property with the Didim Municipality and obtaining a “Tourism Operation License” are essential steps to legally operate as a holiday rental in Akbuk. Compliance with safety standards, taxation regulations, and zoning laws specific to the Didim district are crucial aspects of the permitting process.
It is becoming more and more difficult to obtain these permits, so the opportunity to generate an income from holiday rental in the district is extremely limited. Penalties for non-compliance with these strict regulations can result in a fine of up to 1 million YTL.
Thankfully White Bay Resort has done all the hard work for you, and has acquired all the necessary permits and documentation to allow you to rent your apartment, stress-free, for the forseeable future
Growth Potential
Turkey’s southern regions have seen significant development in infrastructure, including transportation networks, healthcare facilities, and leisure amenities. This ongoing development enhances the attractiveness of the area for both tourists and residents, potentially driving up property values
Residency Programmes
Turkey offers various residency programs, including the Turkish Citizenship by Investment Program, which allows investors to obtain Turkish citizenship by purchasing property above a certain value. This incentive can make investing in property in southern Turkey even more attractive for international investors seeking residency or citizenship.

Potential Revenue
With up to 300 days of sunshine per year, and the increasing popularity of Akbuk as a top holiday destination, we estimate a minimum of four months high season holiday let, and two months low season occupancy per year. Based on this figure, at a daily rate from £76 – £299, (depending on the apartment), your investment could generate up to a very impressive £52,000 gross per annum, (see individual apartment pages for financial breakdown).*
